The visitor center was built by the WPA in Pueblo adobe architectural style.

Pedestals are left behind by the fast moving dunes held by the roots of cottonwood, yucca, and other dune plants.

Jenna had the best run, the dunes were slower than normal due to moisture.

The dune fields are moving so much that the last miles of roads are plowed out like snow!

By sunset, the shadow patterns were beautiful.
