The Wesley brothers lived in the Frederico colony, and the Methodist church has its roots in this area. This church is built near the site where Wesley preached in 1736.
This is the club millionaire industrialists (the likes of Goodyear, Rockefeller, Pulitzer, Crane, J.P Morgan) built on the island. At one point, it was estimated that one sixth of the world's wealth was represented in its membership.
